Documentation Is Not a Coverage Decision

The same record can support review without controlling the carrier's answer.

Ownership, TRC, the carrier, and any lender may need different project information. The responsible reviewing party decides what it requires, what it accepts, and when it acts.

TRC documents the loss and proposed reconstruction scope and coordinates carrier questions. TRC does not promise claim settlement, scope agreement, supplement approval, draw release, or payment timing.

Reconstruction Documentation

Record the loss, proposed scope, questions, and approved changes.

The carrier applies the policy. TRC's role is documentation and coordination, not coverage or payment authority.

01

Document observed conditions.

We assess and document structural damage and record conditions relevant to the proposed reconstruction scope.

02

Prepare the proposed reconstruction scope.

TRC provides the proposed work for ownership and carrier review. It is not described as agreed until the responsible parties have actually agreed.

03

Coordinate project questions.

TRC coordinates with the insurance carrier about the documented loss and proposed work. The carrier determines what additional information it requests.

04

Document changed conditions.

If observed conditions lead TRC to propose a scope change, TRC documents that condition and proposal for the required review. No approval or response time is promised.

05

Identify TRC's completed work.

Closeout records should identify the work performed by TRC and the documents included in the written scope. Workmanship coverage: 1-year workmanship warranty on work performed by TRC.

Information for Carrier Coordination

Keep the contacts, decisions, and scope versions identifiable.

The carrier decides what it needs for its review; the items below do not control acceptance or payment.

Claim and contact information.

Provide the claim identifier and the authorized owner and carrier contacts when available.

Current written decisions.

Keep carrier decisions and owner authorizations with the current reconstruction scope rather than relying on a verbal assumption.

Documented scope changes.

Identify the observed condition, proposed change, and reviewing party without calling the change approved before a decision is received.

Separate payment authority.

A carrier or lender controls its own review and release process. TRC documentation does not control timing or payment.

Carrier Coordination Boundaries

Who documents the scope, and who decides?

No. The carrier applies the policy and decides coverage. We document losses and coordinate with insurance carriers.

No. TRC provides documentation and answers project questions; the carrier controls its review and decision.

We bill your insurance directly. Coverage decisions and any amount owed under the policy or construction agreement remain with the applicable parties.

TRC documents the observed condition and proposed change for the required review. The carrier or other reviewing party decides whether it accepts the change and controls its own timing.

This service does not include lender-draw administration or a payment-timing promise. If a project has a lender-controlled payment process, the responsible parties must identify the required documents and decision-maker.

Discuss reconstruction documentation and carrier coordination.

Tell us the property contact, claim contact, reported damage, and current scope status. The carrier retains coverage and payment authority.
