Commercial Fire-Sprinkler Discharge Cleanup
Follow the building's fire-emergency procedures. TRC provides restoration for resulting building water damage; fire response and sprinkler-system control belong with emergency responders and authorized fire-protection personnel.
Fire protection and water restoration have separate responsibilities.
Tell TRC whether the discharge followed a fire or another reported incident, and whether emergency responders are involved. Do not operate the sprinkler controls on the basis of cleanup advice.
Describe rooms or floors where water damage has been reported. We assess and document structural damage within the restoration scope. That work does not determine whether the fire-protection system is ready for service or whether the building may be occupied.
Discuss restoration after the emergency response.
Have the facility contact identify the emergency-response and fire-protection contacts.
Establish the reported incident and access
Share the discharge location and the status reported by emergency responders or authorized building personnel. TRC does not offer sprinkler-system shutdown or recommissioning here.
Assess affected building areas
We assess and document structural damage. Tell us about reported water damage on other floors without assuming the visible area is the entire loss.
Discuss extraction and restoration
TRC owns truck mounts, portable water extractors, and portable pumps. Water removal, structural drying, and any rebuild scope depend on the affected areas and access.
Follow the building's fire-emergency procedures.
A restoration call does not replace emergency response or authorized fire-protection service.
Use the emergency procedure
If there is a fire or suspected fire, contact emergency services and follow responder instructions.
Leave system controls to authorized personnel
Do not shut down, reset, or restore the fire-protection system; leave those controls to authorized personnel.
Report affected locations
From an accessible location, share which rooms or floors have reported water damage and who controls access.
